These a pretty good for the money. They poplar shells. The hardware is definitely light weight but will get you started. Cymbals are junk. Drum heads are junk. If you upgrade the drum heads, top and bottom the sound vastly improves. That's where eastar saves the money. I would recommend to a starter or kid.

The drumset itself is very nice however the delivery was atrocious. Im very surprised it wasn't broken. The box was dropped in the rain and I had to pull it out of the rain not to mention the parts inside were all over in the box. All round just a total mess.

These drum set are really good if you want to learn how to play . Great set for beginner for a good price. Quality of the material is pretty good for the price. I’ll recommend this product

My 14 yr old son is learning to play the drums. He was excited to receive the set. He easily set it up himself. It is a complete set that has everything he needs as a beginner drummer. Great product. He got the black set and it looks nice.

This is a great purchase at a great price!! Direct order from manufacture saves money.
and it is a great quality!

My first drum set. It was a cheap adult set, so couldn’t pass it up. Building it was a pain in the ass. Took me around 2 and a half to 3 hours. All and all, would recommend, but good luck assembling it if you have no experience with drum sets like me ;(.

Overall it’s a really nice drum set. The instructions could of been a little more clearer. My 8 year old daughter loved it though. I even sat down my 6’3 self and banged out.

Got these for my 15 year old daughter. She put them together herself in about 1 hour. She loves them.
Chris
The box came clearly marked what was inside so it did ruin the surprise a bit. Fairly easy to assemble, although it took a while. Teenage son has been enjoying the set for his drum lessons.
BK
Took a but to install it, and some instructions on how to tune would be cool. Other than that the best bang for the buck.
Got it for my 8 year old. I am sure adult can use it as well

The drum set is well made. There were minor dings on the inside of one of the drum heads, but I imagine this is inherent to any drum head. I have had them for about a month and they are used basically every night by a 16 year old boy and myself.
They sound good and are holding up well. The cost is inline with the quality. Would definitely purchase again.

Can be a bit hard to install, this was my first drum set so that could be why but it does fit well together (directions could have been more clear). It does say it is for teens but I am not a teen and is very nice to use and sounds great.
Bailey
Mine did not come with assembly instructions! And their video is really fast with no talking. So it was a long process to assemble. But I am really happy with the drums, they sound really really amazing for the price. Especially considering the shipping must have been 50 dollars at least.

Awesome!! This is great for beginners and teens also adults. Wasn't what we expected but, great price! More than satisfied, box came damage but the product was not damaged. Assembly may take time at least 1 to 2 hours for sound and but easy to assemble.. I would recommend this drum set, great value for your money.
Jamie
Great beginners set! Easy to assemble. NOTE: it DOES NOT come with an assemble instructions page/manual, but you can find online help. My daughter loves them.

We were nervous about this purchase as my son (8) is new at drumming and our knowledge was not all that great. This set is really everything you need to get started. Drum set, stool, sticks. Size and quality are great, easy set up. He is tall for his age so we went with a full size set for him to grow into. This is an adult sized set. Would purchase again.

Got this for my two sons as a gift. They are young so it is something they will be able to grow into. Wanted to give them the opportunity to be exposed to music especially since my youngest loves to sing and dance. We aren’t a musically inclined family but we hope to spark an interest within our kids. Great quality

I was afraid that the low cost would equal low quality, but that was absolutely not the case. Excellent drum set, great tones, sturdy, well made, beautiful, and so easy to assemble for us as first timers. Absolutely amazing set of drums. HIGHLY recommend.

I bought this drum set for my nephew for Christmas and he loves it. Every drummer who have played on them say they are good quality drums. Great for beginners, easy to assemble, and are a great value for the price.

My son decided to take up drumming. I didn't want to invest a fortune to start. He loved these drums. They look great. Not ever having set up drums took us awhile, but is doable with patience. Came with everything needed. Very pleased.

We bought this for our 11 year old who's taking drum lessons... It works well, and his instructor is very impressed by the quality/value balance. Sound is surprisingly good with the supplied heads, and the cymbals are less crappy than most in this price range (not great, but great cymbals cost more than this whole kit).
Assembly is tedious, but the instructions are reasonable. I still recommend looking up assembly on YouTube.
We are 4 months in with it, and are very pleased.

My 14 year old almost 6 foot daughter needed a new drum set due to us living someplace just for school this year. She was able to assemble it on her own in 1.5 hours and she likes it. Great buy for what it cost. Her sister uses it to practice as well.
Christine
Once this kit was put together, it was really nice. It didn’t take long to assemble, but a few drums were a little tricky and my husband helped hold while I tightened. I don’t know what would make a drum kit “better” as this seems like all my son will need for a long time while learning. The set is sturdy and well made.

Bought this for my son who is 11 years old. Wanted something that he could grow with... This is his first drum set but we didn't want a kid one that would only last a year or two. Assembly was easy but there were instructions. So we just looked at the picture and set it up. My son now takes drum lessons and his teacher said this was a good purchase given his level. This should last him for years to come. By the way, it takes up a lot of room as any drum set of the size would. We have a corner of our living room devoted to this and it works but it would not have fit in his bedroom or any other space.

I bought this as a gift for music students of mine. The three brothers were able to assemble the kit on their own and I helped fine tune the setup the following week.
Throw a blanket or towel in the bass drum to muffle it, tune the toms to 5ths (think of the theme to George of the Jungle) and you're good to go.
The cymbals and hi hat stand are light and wouldn't stand up to the rigors of gigging. The cymbals are aren't very musical sounding (rough tone) but get the job done for the price.
For reference I teach all sorts of instruments and collect vintage drums. This kit won't sound like a classic hand made American drum and it's value won't hold over time. However it's meant to be an affordable stepping stone and in that regard, it's great.

This is a great set for a thirteen year old beginner. A friend of the family tuned it and commented on the quality. My son absolutely loves it!
My husband and another adult put it together fairly easily but did get stumped at one point. Thankfully, there are numerous helpful videos online showing how to assemble similar sets. Overall,I am very happy with my purchase and would most definitely recommend it to someone else looking for an entry-level drum set

I bought these for my daughter and they are great! She's brand new to playing the drums so we weren't going to spend a bunch; and I was kind of nervous about getting a cheaper end set, but it has proven to be really great. She had to go on youtube to put it together, but she did it by herself so it couldn't have been too hard. I would definitely recommend this set. Buy the silencers....you won't regret it ;)

very well packed this is a great deal for anyone looking to start playing drums everything you need to get started drum shells are good

I was a little skeptical, but the reviews for this drum set seemed very positive. I'm somewhat new to the drums and this is the first set I've ever owned. Compared to friends sets I've played on that were triple the price I gotta say this is good quality.
Had a few friends come over and try it out. They couldn't believe how good it sounded for the price. The cymbals are cheap quality as expected, so first thing I did was replaced those with some much more quality ones. Also, the bass drum might need some kind of dampening. At first I kept getting a horrible loud boomy sound from it, but after setting a folded blanket inside it sounds much better now.
I'd highly recommend this for a beginner. At this price point this is the best value you'll get.

Drum Kit shipped next day and arrived to me a day later. I am very happy with the quality of this set.

My husband always wanted to drum set. So round this May I was looking around and shopping around and get a good price. And I happened across This set up. Well he couldn't have been happier. He loves it and practices and plays it everyday almost. And we got a good deal on it I think.

Good quality drums.

Bought this for my boyfriend, he loves it. It was very easy to assemble, only took us about 45 minutes. We did have a drum key, which made it easier. Otherwise worth the money!

Amazing kit for the price. New to drums, but compared to expensive kits I’ve played, I can’t tell the difference. Adult sized; very large. Easy to set up, but you may need to watch a video tutorial. Material is high quality and durable, not cheaply made. Cymbals could use a tiny upgrade, but overall extremely impressed, I would recommend this kit for anyone.

This drum kit offers more pieces than most others in its price range, is full size and surprisingly good quality. My 10 year old loves it and I'm having a great time using it as well.
Only negatives are:
the myriad pieces needed to assemble...think assembling Ikea furniture. It takes a while.
The cymbals aren't the greatest sounding, but if you're a beginner or early stage drummer that's irrelevant.
Laura
He started drum lessons a few months ago, he is 13 and it is perfect for him while he continues to learn. We do intend to slowly buy new pieces in a year or so to keep updating the set but it is worth it for the price for anyone who is starting out and learning. Good sound for the price easy to tune with tune bot and assembling it was very easy, it just took time.

Took some time to assemble but not too complicated. My daughter loves it.

My 10 year old started drum lessons and we wanted a way for him to practice without breaking the bank. Due to his age we didn’t want to get a junior kit and have him outgrow it in a year. This is a good size for him. Being drums it’s of course loud, but sounds good and he’s having a great time and gets to feel like a real rock and roller

Drum sets can be very expensive (thousands of dollars) or the very cheap models can be very bad and disappointing. This set strikes the balance between usability and features and affordability. The set is well constructed out of real wood and is quite attractive. This is a full size set, not a toy or kid set, and I am a proponents of kids (unless they are really young) to learn on a full size drum set. My son (and my cat) assembled the set without even watching the manufacturer video on it, and he thought it was easy to assemble despite the single sheet of instructions. It took him about an hour to assemble. I have purchased several Eastar instruments and I love their level of attention to details.
