We wanted a small "guitar" comparable to our older son's ones for our toddler. We bought a little 6 string for Christmas that was as real a small tunable guitar that looked real as we could find, turned our to be plastic and was trash within a week, so we went head and did a Ukulele for his birthday, and made even more sure it it was "real" and quality.
We are very happy with this little thing. He doesnt know what he's doing, but he loves to play and he can hold it, and it's sturdy enough that he hasn't destroyed it yet. It's so cute, I might even try to learn it myself!

Purchased the ukulele for my young granddaughter. She loves purple, so having the choice of color helped in my choice. The strings are inexpensive quality, and as long as you are willing to tune each time prior to play, they actually are better for a little one. They are softer on little fingers.

My 12 year old daughter purchased this for herself. She has been learning to play it in music class and wanted one of her own. The quality is very good for the price. The only challenge has been getting it tuned to play. Her music teacher said it will take multiple times tuning it in the beginning for it to hold the correct pitch. It came packaged very nicely and would make a really nice gift.

I'm a music teacher, bought this to accompany myself and students singing when I was on a cart due to tornado damage at our school. Worked great, held tune well unless I was going back and forth from inside to outside, but that's to be expected with any instrument. Good quality, just need to get a case or strap If you're traveling. It came with a fabric string bag but that wasn't sufficient for my needs as I was having to put it in a cart and go back and forth between classrooms and it got a bit dinged up-but still Plays fine!

It’s a good starter ukulele. The only issue is with keeping tune, but I’m hoping once the strings settle in that will resolve itself, and that it’s not a structural issue. Also, the included bag is useless. If you want to protect the uke, buy a decent padded case. Bought it for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it.

Bought this ukelele for my mom since she wanted to learn the guitar and I thought this would be a good alternative for her to start on first since she doesn’t have a ton of time to learn. We tuned it with the tuner it came with as soon as we got it and it sounds wonderful! Everything works great and she loves it so far. Very lightweight and looks super cute. She’s super excited to learn songs and prefers this to a guitar since it’s so much easier. This was a super good value considering the price and all the accessories it comes with.

When I found out I was being furloughed for 6 weeks, I wanted something to learn and do besides watch TV. What better hobby to pickup when you can't go outside than music? I ordered the purple ukelele and I love it! It's been fun learning chords and trying to figure out how to strum. I've been practicing Changes in Latitude by Jimmy Buffet and hopefully by the time I return to work I have it down. Having nothing to compare it to I would say it's good quality, no scratches and after a bit of learning with the included tuner it seems to be in tune. It's exactly what I hoped for at a great price!

Excellent value - couldn't ask for more for the price! I have a more luxury ukulele, and bought this one to teach 2 of my children to play on. While the sound might not be quite as warm as my more expensive model, I have exactly zero complaints about this! For this price, this is a lovely, solid little uke. The included electronic tuner is extremely helpful and the instrument holds tuning pretty well too. My boys play twice a week and have never complained about practicing on this adorable little uke. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again!

This thing is really fun to play, attractive to the eye, a real attention getter! And like many reviewers mentioned, mine goes out of tune all the time. HOWEVER, this has become less of a problem over the weeks. I think the nylon strings just need to stretch for a time before they stabilize. At this point it will stay in tune much, much longer than when I first got it. It's been around 3 weeks. Tuning isn't really an issue now. And the tuner works really, really, really surprisingly well! I'd almost say it's worth the purchase price, considering what I've paid for tuners in the past that didn't work nearly as well or as easily. The product came with a strap and some picks which I haven't tried yet, but they look really good as well! Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

My 13 year old had some experiences playing a uke in school, and ever since he has been asking for own of his own. He absolutely loves this one, and his band teacher was able to tune it easily for him. No complaints, sounds nice, great price, 5 stars!

This is the uke my daughter's teacher recommended, and as far as I can tell, it sounds great! I don't have any experience so I can't compare, but I can say I really like that it came with a carrying bag, extra strings, a neck strap, and a great little tuner.

For an inexpensive ukulele like this, I am blown away! The sound is really nice and it feels comfortable to hold. I use to play a lot and quit for a couple years. Well I needed some music in my life again so i got this. Comes with everything you need to get started, tuner, extra strings, carry bag, cleaning cloth, ukulele strap. everything. The picks that come with it are guitar picks but i never use them on ukuleles anyways. Even has a little chord chart on the back of a tag to get you started.. Now, to a beginner, the chord pictures may be easier since it shows you the correct fingers and all. I'm use to reading tabs so it was a little weird for me but most normal people will look online anyways. It was a great buy for me and hope to play 2021 away until we reach normal times again. Stay happy friends :)

Granddaughter wanted blue guitar who is 4 years old. We decided on this blue ukulele for it fits her perfectly. She’s a beginner and loves the blue color. I also bought 4 more for the other grandchildren in different colors. I absolutely recommend Eastar UKE for its sound & color and it comes with tuner, extra strings, picks, etc. (a kit) Everything you need to get started.
I also purchased a beginner UKE DVD and book that explains the notes, where to place your fingers to create each note. that we will need to get started and play for a long time. There is also youtube that will show you. I’m learning to play as well and this fit is good for me too. Easy to carry around with you. Beginner Uke and not a toy. We are proud to begin on this UKE and we will be using this one for many years to come. It seems all the grandchildren love theirs and now want to get together with their cousins to practice. I bought different colors for 3 -10 years old. The 2 different Pinks are nice too.

I bought this for my daughter thinking that if she trashed it (as kids are prone to do) I wouldn’t be out a ton of money. To my surprise, this is a well made Uke! I play it more than she does! The finish is perfect with no runs or overlapping the fretboard or bridge, no burs on the frets, and the tuners keep it tuned. It took a few days for the strings to stretch and hold their tune. We play this every day and tune it about every couple of days. The sound is right up there with my Flight and Kala Ukes! I'm really impressed that this is Eastar's entry level model. I'll be checking out the rest of Eastar's line for a future purchase.

I’m very impressed that it came with everything needed to get started on the Ukulele, a strap, a tuner, extra strings etc. Even a chord guide!! I used the tuner to tune it up and it sounds great. I hesistated ordering pink in the beginning but the paint is of very good quality, highly recommend to try out different colors. I am quite impressed by the quality, sound and look of this ukulele. My kids (8&9) have recently become interested in different musical instruments and this was a great purchase, both for them and myself. The included tuning device works perfectly to tune the ukulele, so it was only a matter of minutes after unboxing before we started playing tunes.
A soft storage bag, picks, neck strap, and extra strings were pleasantly included in the box as well. Excellent value for everything if you ask me!

This Eastar Ukulele makes a nice hiking Ukulele or a first Ukulele for a young child. It has a painted laminated wood body that is extremely light weight making it easy to hold for young kids or carrying with you as you hike through the woods, which is why I bought mine. The laminated body also means you don't have to worry about temperature and humidity shock as much, making it good for outdoor use. I wanted a low cost Ukulele for hiking as well so if it were to get broken as my last hiking Ukulele did, it would not be of a great financial loss to me. While this is not going to be the ukulele with the most resonance or sustain, it will certainly be fun for kids because of the many color choices available. Which would probably be more important to a young player anyway. The included accessories of a spare set strings, picks, Ukulele strap, carrying bag, cleaning cloth and tuner make this a pretty nice complete bundle having everything a kid would need to get started. The most impressive thing for me about this Ukulele was it didn't have any issues with sharp fret ends that I have had on other low priced Ukuleles.

I am blown away by this ukelele especially for the price. Full disclosure, I don't know how to play one yet, but I have been searching for a good quality starter instrument for my child and I was shocked since this is only $40 but has such a great sound quality, sturdy feel, and extras included to help learn how to play. It also has a very nice, shiny finish and doesn't look cheap at all...it actually looks/feels much more expensive than it was. For comparison: my toddler loves music and the grandparents got her a "toy guitar" from amazon for christmas. That one is clearly a TOY, cannot really tune it, sounds fake, has plastic strings, and was $23-25 whereas this ukelele is a real instrument, beautiful quality, durable, real strings, etc and is only $40. It is too big for a young toddler to use (and she wouldn't be able to learn it just yet anyway) but my husband and I will be trying it out and eventually holding on to it until it's appropriate to teach our child.

I have a bunch of ukuleles ... about 60. This little soprano has quickly become a special favorite. I love the color and the gloss shine. It came perfectly set up and plays and sounds great. Nice gig bag. This ukulele really feels nice in my hands and I don't know exactly why that is. It's one sweet uke!

This is a great beginner ukulele for those who are unsure they want to commit to learning and playing long term. It's a great way to test it out and see if it's for you. It would also be great for kids.
I used this for about three weeks and realized I really wanted to learn and be serious so upgraded to an Enya acoustic/electric. I dont regret buying this little uke as it allowed me to see if I like playing or if it was even my thing.

This soprano ukulele is a beautiful deep purple with a glossy finish that comes with everything you need to get started as a beginner ukulele player! The chromatic tuner (that comes with the battery!) is one of the best that I have used. It has various settings for different instruments and when you set it for the ukulele it tells you which string you should be playing for that note (ie 4G). The pivoting head of the tuner is a fantastic feature! It also comes with a neck strap that clips into the sound hole, an extra set of strings, 4 picks, a drawstring gig bag, and a microfiber cloth. There are 2 tags that come on the uke, one that tells you how to properly care for it and the other is a picture chord chart to get you started with how to play basic cords. Truly a great bundle & value for the price for anyone looking to get started playing ukulele!

At first glance I was a little put off by this uke, but once I tuned it up, it's a good bit of fun. The packaging is nice, and the included strap, tuner, and polishing cloth are adequate. This ukulele comes with a pull string style travel bag. Again, adequate for this instrument.
All that being said, I am NOT a ukulele player. I play mandolin, banjo, and guitar. I find the sounds com this uke pleasing when finger picked a la banjo style. The sweet spot is just at the end of the fret board, and it honestly sounds angelic at times.

Purchased the ukulele for my daughter for Christmas. It’s been a few weeks with heavy use and it has held up well. My local instrument store also sells this brand because of its durability. I gave it four stars because one of the string keeps needing to be re-tuned - meaning it comes loose and doesn’t hold the string tight. I’m sure there is a way to fix it but I feel like the product should come in perfect working condition. I did love that it came with a tuner and a carrying bag.

My girl plays the Ukulele at her elementary school music, and she wanted one for home. I picked this one up, which looked great and my girl said the color was her fav. Out of the box, this one is very nice. Good solid wood and the color is perfect throughout. Comes with good quality strings, and the connections work perfectly too. My girl took it to school and had her teacher tune it for her. Her teacher was impressed at the quality too, and advised that this one was very easy to tune. No cons, my girl loves it, where I am very happy with the purchase.

This thing is pretty good. I was surprised that it held its tuning well and its sound is pretty decent. Aesthetically speaking, I opted for the black, and as a beginner ukulele it is mostly what you’d expect (looks-wise). The headstock has the name painted on and the black paint is good. My favorite thing is the tiki strap. How cool is that? The tuner threw me through a loop at first b/c I didn’t read the instructions to see you press the power button a few times to set it to “U” for Ukulele. That made it much easier to tune.
It also comes with some standard nylon strings, a cleaning cloth, and a sack. This is not a gig bag but an actual tie-string sack. I’d rather pay a few bucks more for one with a gig bag, but that’s just me, and they probably knew this was beginner for most people. I’m betting with some fluorocarbon strings it might sound even better, but it still has a pretty good sound. It sounds and plays well, the frets were not sharp/sticking out, it’s smooth, and it has decent tuning machines. I’m hoping it’s durable since it’s a gift for a kid, but overall, I’d recommend it.
