Good price, good product and fast shipping!
Very pleased with my purchase of 2 ukuleles for 2 grandsons for Christmas. After ordering the ukuleles were delivered promptly. We’ll be “strumming” on Christmas.
Bought this for myself after seeing it on the Donnerdeal site for a ridiculously low price. Ordered on Oct. 17, received the package on Oct. 20...one day earlier than promised. The uke arrived well packaged and in good shape with all of the extras advertised: tenor ukulele, cleaning cloth, strap, digital tuner, guitar picks, and a spare set of strings: for $40, I could not pass up this deal!
I found no dings or flaws in the finish; fretboard and bridge are made of rosewood with bone nut and saddle. Strap buttons are installed at the bridge end of the body and on the side of the neck towards the body. I have found no sharp fret edges. The action is low enough to make barre chords easy in my arthritic fingers. Intonation is very good, but a little sharp on the 12th fret.
All in all, I'm VERY impressed with the quality of this instrument and recommend this to anybody looking for a decent instrument at a reasonable outlay of cash (even at the listed full price!).
I am Tr8e S6ix of Having Fun Entertainment. I bought your product for my son and he says it's amazing! I checked It out myself and it is BEAUTIFUL!
everything good the chords are great not one scratch on the ukulele i absolutely loved it
Grampa taught all us kids at church how to play the ukulele. It brings back memories.
I bought this for my grandson and he was in AWE! He loved it and if his enthusiam holds up he will learn to play quickly. Thank you for putting a smile on a childs face.
Nice Euke, well worth the $$
Shipment on time. Thanks.
This is my first Tenor Ukulele and it's wonderful. I put a D'Addario low G string on it. After about a week the strings have settled and don't need much tuning. The sound is really nice and overall the quality is very good but simple. The tuners seem finer than my other ukuleles. The bag is padded and high quality. The other add-ons are good to. If they added a capo, a cheap wall hook and a finger shaker you couldn't beat it.
I bought 3 of them for Christmas Gifts ! I Believe they'll make Happy Young Adults They're Beautiful, Packaging and Accessories Excellent
Awesome product, unbeatable for the price. I've only been playing uke for a couple months but this one feels and sounds great, no buzzing or dead spots, and great tone and quality.
I bought one of the rainbow Soprano ukuleles and loved it, but it was a little small for my sausage fingers so I went back for a Tenor model and loved it even more! Both sound astonishingly good for their prices and I've had a ton of fun already playing up a storm. You couldn't ask for better starter ukes!
Looks like a quality uke
Our order only took less than a week which was great since we had a birthday coming up. The packaging was amazing! Our grandson loved his ukulele it is beautifuly made. He stayed up most of the night playing it. Thankyou so much for making a wonderful product and the quick shipping.❤
This Donner Uke is just what the doctor ordered. I play a tenner banjo but the neck is to long and wide for my fingers to play a good cord, this uke is just right and the quality of the cords are right on.
Good practice ukulele. Quality good for price. Sound is good for price. Nice to practice on.
I was so excited for this to come in the mail! This is actually the second uke I have ever bought, the first one was a soprano uke. Reddit recommended this brand, and I’m happy with this suggestion. I love the rich tone of this tenor uke, and its price and quality are great. It’s also very pretty!
My husband and I love it. The price was very good for the quality of the ukelele. I returned the one I previously bought. Also happy to see, give away stuff like replacement strings, bag,
pic, and the shoulder holder. Impressive! You just want to make your clients happy.
The strap is good, and the case is very, very nice. I liked the quality of this so much.
I got a beauty of a Uke, a case, a tuner, strap, picks and strings. And the Uke is gorgeous, solid Hickory!
I’m impressed by the quality. The included tuner and other accessories are also high quality and everything fits nicely in the case. I’ve played guitar for many years and found it easy to pick up the uke and start playing. It’s a nice size and comfortable to hold and play.
This is a great beginner’s instrument. I am 48 years old and have never played a musical instrument. This ukulele is perfect for beginners and I was learning songs through tablature very quickly. Keep in mind that until the strings stretch you will need to tune it frequently; fortunately, this uke also comes with a tuner that you can clip to it and is easy to use. Do not despair over your sore fingertips as you will develop calluses quickly as well. It is an awesome feeling when you can sing and play the ukulele simultaneously. If I can do it,you can do it.
It has really incredibly good sound for such an inexpensive uke. I love it and I'd recommend it for a beginner or anyone who needs a portable ukulele. Mine shows no wear and tear and looks brand new.
this ukelele holds tune very well. the tuners seem to be good quality (but im no expert on that) and the bridge and nut are good quality and dont snag the strings too much. 4 days into playing i can set the uke down for a few hours and come back and it's still in tune (well, good enough to fiddle around on anyway)
just about perfect. it remains to be seen if the neck or body warp and ruin the action, but that's how it goes with things made of wood.
im not an expert by any means, but it sounds really good to my ears. it's mellow, woody, subtle, deep. but it also projects really well for such a small instrument.
overall quality: 5/5
no rough edges. parts seem well made. nothing loose. it's very pretty looking. the finish is so light that you can feel the texture of the wood.
also it comes with a clip on tuner that works well, an extra set of strings (donner brand/no name?), a few picks, a strap, and a case. the case is really good. it's a soft case but with a lot of cushioning. zippers and stitching seem decent quality. the strap is not good. the ends are shaped completely wrong and the peg is on the neck way too close to the frets so it gets in the way of your fretting hand. it's easy enough to fix if you want to use a strap but probably involves moving the neck strap peg and cutting one end of the strap.
i bought this uke cause i wanted something decent to play that was small enough to strap to the back of my bicycle. it was cheap enough to take a chance on and well worth taking a chance on. it is perfect for my needs and holds up to my personal standards. i highly recommend it for anyone that wants a decent quality instrument but doesn't want to (or can't) spend a lot of money.
This is a solid, well-built ukelele. Considering how cheap it was, I am really pleased with it.
This is a great uke for the beginner that, like me, has fingers that are not as flexible or maneuverable as they were when they were in their twenties. The wider string spacing makes it much easier to switch from chord to chord. I like the slightly "deeper" sound that the tenor produces over the soprano as well. The uke as well as all the accessories that came with it were great. I especially liked the gear bag. It was well made, padded nicely, and the uke fit properly in it.
I'm really enjoying this ukulele after a month of ownership. The quality is great for what you pay, and what you get. I would definitely recommend for anyone curious enough to start playing without wanting to make a major investment.
All in all the sound and playability of this ukulele are great and the looks match.
Got my Donner Concert Uke today and LOVE IT!!! Not a flaw on it, sounds Great, of course being my 1st uke don't have anything to compare it to, but I trusted all the reviews I read and I am very pleased, the tuner that came with it works very well.
I'm an amature/semi-pro musician of more than 25 years, but only recently started learning ukulele to keep myself busy during the pandemic.
The sound is surprisingly good, with what I would call above average construction for the price. Its appearance is good.
We picked this uke up as a gift for one of our children. It's well made and higher quality than I expected for an instrument of this price.
It's an overall great buy for a beginner, or even intermediate player, looking for an affordable instrument that plays better than one would expect at the price.
I have to say how impressed I am with the sound of the Donner. It is rich and warm. Fit and finish is beautifully done albeit somewhat plain.
Overall, I really love this ukelele.
I purchased this uke solely based on reviews, as I had no experience and couldn’t play yet. I wasn’t disappointed! I have had it a month now, and I play it an average of 2 hours per day. After the first 3 days of string stretching and tuning, I rarely have to tune it.
The strings it came set up with are decent and good quality. The action is perfect. It has 2 strap buttons already attached to it (one on the body and one at the base of the neck) which is a nice perk. The craftsmanship is beautiful and time was taken with assembly. It has a nice, hollow, rich sound. The accessories it comes with seal the deal! The gig bag is sturdy, padded, and great quality. The digital tuner works fine (although I use a tuning app most of the time). The strap is functional and good quality.
Being an economy uke, I was surprised by how well built it is and how nice it looked.
I like the way the strings attach on the bottom with knotted ends. The strings need to be stretched a bit for the Ukulele to stay in tune. The bag is great - padded and has straps on the back to carry like a backpack. That is really helpful when transporting the instrument. The neck strap attachment is great! The pegs to attach it are already attached to the Ukulele and it makes it easier to hold in place. Much better than the strap that goes around your neck and just clips onto the hole of the Ukulele. I'm very pleased.
I studied a bit to find a good one within my meager budget, and found this one. The craftsmanship is really nice, it is lightweight but feels pretty sturdy.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the Donner. It has good tone and projection. It has good fit and finish and comes with a nice padded case. It comes with quality components. I added a low G to give it more of a guitar feel, and I really like the sound difference and increase in tonal range.
It's a great introductory price for great instrument.
I enjoyed this fantastic product because of all the things it came with and was packaged with. The packaging was amazing and very clean and tidy. There’s was no damages or indents on the packaging the ukulele came in. They even took extra precaution knowing that it is an instrument and patched it with two boxes. I loved the colorful pics they were amazing and so bright in color. It was spectacular! The sound of the ukulele it self was very sharp and on point. For a beginner, the ukulele would be a perfect because of all the helpful tools such as, pics, a tuner, cloth, a beautiful strap and extra strings just in case your string rips. The wood the ukulele was made with my very pretty and there was no damages or even a single scratch on the instrument. There was even a tag on the ukulele that showed you the most common cords and a picture to show you were to place you fingers in order to play the note. As a beginner it was very helpful.
Good sound for the price. Well made, and the strap attachment points are a nice touch, but definitely no frills finish. Finish is matte finish stain.
This ukulele doesn’t disappoint, it’s solid and well made. As a beginner ukulele player it takes a week (at least) of daily tuning to get the strings stretched and to hold their tune.
I have a much more expensive tenor ukulele from a different brand that I love, but I wanted an inexpensive soprano that I could travel with, since it's smaller and I don't have to worry about it the cost if it's damaged, lost, or stolen.
The sound you get for the price is amazing, and I'd have no problem recommending this to somebody who is interested in a starter uke, especially because it comes with a bag and a really great tuner. The bag is pretty basic and I might someday upgrade to a more padded bag, but it's not an awful bag, either.
If you're interested in learning, or if you have a kid who is interested, this is a sure bet. It's not up to the standards of a professional instrument, but you're gonna have a hard time beating this for the price.
This was an awesome ukulele set. The uke itself is great quality with a great full tenor sound and holds its tune even after playing a few songs which is really good for a brand new uke.
The extras were great except the gig bag is a tad too small for the uke (I ordered the tenor 26"). It's more suited for a concert size.
The included tuner got the uke tuned so much faster than any app I have tried before. It took me 5 minutes to get all strings on key!
Overall, a very good uke and the price is deceiving because you get a really great quality uke. I'm quite pleased.
While the Donner is definitely a budget uke, it looks and sounds very nice and comes with great accessories. The gig bag is great quality with a large pouch to store accessories, and the installed strap buttons and strap.
I bought this uke on a whim after reading the reviews here . And I'm very glad I did. I got it yesterday and I haven't been able to put it down for very long. It sounds fantastic even with the stock strings. I wonder how much better it would sound with Aquila strings... The frets are nice and smooth. The body is well made.
This is a surprisingly high quality instrument for the price point. It is well made and comes with all the accessories you need to start playing, especially as a beginner. It comes with extra strings, a small tuner (this one could be better, but it’s fine for a starter- the battery cover on mine broke, but I downloaded a tuner app and that works fine), picks, and a cleaning cloth. The instrument itself has a good timbre and sounds beautiful...
What a beautifully crafted ukulele! To me (again--an absolute beginner) this looks and feels like a high quality instrument. I'm glad I went with the concert ukulele.
I think this entry level ukulele is great for beginners and those interested in venturing into the world of ukes.
It plays very nice and stays pretty much in tune (I tune every day before I play anyway). I've been thrilled with the purchase. I'll be buying a higher quality uke later - but don't get me wrong, for the money this was a great pick up.
I recommend it. It sounds great and for the price, you get a lot of quality.
I honestly wasn't expecting to get something so decent for the price, especially given all the other items in the order (quality gig bag, extra strings, tuner, etc).
This is the perfect pack for an aspiring ukulele player or a seasoned veteran! Solidly built, no complaints on quality. Plus it comes with some great extras...backpack, extra strings, a clip on tuner, and strap.
It comes with everything you need to get started included online tutorials with all the basics. Impressed with the number of tutorials.
Bought this for my kids Great price for a quality beginner soprano ukelele. I really wanted the tenor ukelele in the long run because it has more range and fuller sound because it is slightly bigger. But this was a good price and size for kids (can be good for adults too). The quality nylon strings on ukeleles are easy on the kids fingers and it sounds great when strummed. Chords seem much easier to do than a guitar at times although they are different finger placements.
Wanted a cheap uke, could have got a Kala but I gave Donner a chance mostly because it came with a sweet gigbag. I must say as a 10 year guitar player, this ukulele is well put together. It plays great, holds a tune VERY well. I even left it in my car in the heat for a few hours *don't do this at home* to see if the any expansion and contraction of the wood would cause it to lose some tune. I found after, using the chromatic tuner THAT COMES INCLUDED showed it to be in near perfect tune. Best value ukulele in my opinion. I really enjoy playing it. Ask anyone I work know, my uke and I are attached at the hip. I've learned 10+ songs so far and it's been a month. This is a great instrument for any beginner or an advanced player. The strings are much more comfortable to play as opposed to the steel strings on a guitar. If you're looking for a good quality ukulele to start on, this product is for you!
For the price, this is a great deal and I am very happy with my purchase. I believe it was priced appropriately for what I got and will get me comfortably on my way to learning a new instrument. I would recommend this product for all new beginners.
The packaging was solid and all the advertised components were included. There was nothing wrong (either aesthetically or otherwise) with the ukulele itself and the finish on it is beautiful. I actually really loved the smell of it too, which is probably weird, but it just smells like fresh mahogany.
Speaking of side benefits, the extras that came with this uke are great - the bag is nice and padded, the tuner is easy enough for a noob like myself to use, and the strap has already proven itself to be useful.
This is a great Uke! I was a total rookie and this uke helped me learn how to play.
I am just starting to learn the ukulele and this one is the perfect size for me. The sound on the Donner is clear and sharp. I can't wait to actually play a tune!
I am a 25 year old beginner and I adore the sound and clarity of this uke. The build quality is terrific and I love the accessories as well! The tuner is great and so is the case!!
It is more beautiful than the pictures, a deeper caramel color, which I tried to capture in the photo. The mahogany grain is beautiful and shimmers as the light changes, enhanced by a subtle satin finish. The tone is rich and resonant.
Lovely little uke. probably a 4.5 as a starter. I bought it for my soon to be 6 year old because she wants one like mine. The wood tone is a beautiful, medium mahogany. The strap is quite nice (especially if you like orange, black, and white which are my college colors). The case could be finished with a softer fabric, but at least it is well padded and the dark fabric doesn't show stains. But the real winner is the uke itself. The tone when in tune is very nice.
As a 50-something woman, I've secretly longed to play the uke for years but felt time and ability to learn had passed me by. Not so, thanks to my new Donner ukele!
This was my first time playing the ukelele,
and I caught on very quickly and I’ve learn a lot of songs. It was worth every penny I spent, this is a keep safe. It’s good craftsmanship, easy to tune, and sounds great!
The look of it is simply super high end, tough it is not solid wood it looks just as if it was all mahogany. Beautifully built.Very clear and nice resonance from the woods which plays very well with an acoustic guitar in terms of volume. It is little, but puts out a nice warm yet Ukulele like crisp highs. I have kept the ones that are on and they do match the additional ones that they sent out (which is really cool), again not a Ukulele pro, however the strings are holding up very well and after the first week of playing and stay in tune quite well.
The uke turned into a serious hobby, one that I eagerly practice every single day and even bring with me when I go out of town and even to the park on a beautiful day. I now know quite a few songs by memory, I’m completely comfortable playing my Donner uke, and it’s quality and sound have lived up to my standards. I can also fingerpick a few songs which I never thought I’d be able to do! Love my Donner uke!
The Donner Concert Ukelele is perfect! I have played it every day since it arrived, and have no complaints. The tuner works perfectly, there are guides for chords and finger placement, I am thrilled!
