My daughter took it to her first lesson today and it played beautifully. I was nervous about purchasing a violin online after hearing teachers can be picky about brands, but her teacher was impressed with the quality for an Amazon purchase and said it will get her through a year or two. Definitely worth the money for a beginner.

I love my new violin. I've wanted one for decades and since this one is inexpensive, I decided to give it a try. The case that is included is very nice. I was surprised that the violin doesn't come with any instructions, so unless you have an instructor or already know how to play, you will need to watch online videos. I'm certainly not an expert on violins, but I've been playing other instruments for years and also listening to bluegrass since I was a kid, and in my opinion I think this violin has great sound. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is as good as the expensive violins, but it is a pretty darn good violin for a beginner. I recommend that you purchase a violin mute to use while learning, your ears will thank you...although I've discovered that a whole series of really bad notes without the mute is a good way to clear the house so you can have it all to yourself ;)

I got this for me I thought my husband could teach me. . It comes with everything you need to be a beginner. My husband plays all kinds of instruments and was very impressed at the quality of this violin. It's very well made . The sound of it is wonderful and it is so well made. You can't beat the price for such a nice quality violin. The beauty of this is just amazing. Very giftable to that beginner. It has the case to keep it protected and extra strings. It has all you need to start out with. I thought it would be nice for me and my husband to have something to share together. This violin is so beautifully well made. It has such nice designs on it. You cant be the price for a good quality violin. it's made from good sturdy materials. This violin could he gift very easy. It come with a carrying case for that extra protection.

I bought this for my son who is on the autism spectrum. We saw a violin performance on TV and he was amazed. He really wanted to try lessons, but he has a tendency to get excited about a new activity and drop it shortly after. I didn't want to sink a lot of money into an instrument so I was excited to see this at such a good price. I was expecting something a little better than a toy, but I was blown away by the quality. It's a real instrument that looks beautiful and sounds amazing. I also love the case that it comes in. It really cushions the violin so it is safe from normal wear and tear. I like that it can be carried by a handle on the side or as a backpack. It contains everything you need to get started like strings and a matching bow. This is perfect for a beginner or even as a secondary instrument for a student to use at school.

My kids love this violin! It is very well built. Comes with a booklet that provides extra resources for this just beginning to learn. It took a us a while to get it tuned and the bow ready to use but the included tuner was a great added perk.

Got this for the youngest fourth birthday. I don't know anything about violins but the quality for the price seems good. Figure if she sticks with it we can get something nicer but for a four year old this looked to be the best option.

i girl was very hesitant to purchase this violin because many people said it does not stay in tune. It does stay in tune very well. I went a week without playing it and the strings were only a teensy tiny bit flat the next time I tuned and played it. It's a great violin not just for beginners but for anyone who loves to play

Too early for me to say much. I’m an adult beginner, and was so glad I found this for the price. Arrived intact. One of the strings came out while I was tightening, and I learned (after a lot of trial and error, and research) how to get it back in. After finally figuring out how to start, it made beautiful sound. Hoping once I have learned to play (self taught), then it will be just as I expect and play wonderful music. But for a beginner, this is great!

You actually get a lot for the price...nice case, violin, a bow, rosin, a spare bridge, and extra strings. It's been about 40 years since I played,so I have to relearn a lot, but this violin actually sounds pretty good. I'm very happy with this purchase...it's an excellent buy for the money!

This is an amazing violin for the price! The tone is clear and loud, craftsmanship beautifully done, and an excellent case. I was worried about setting the bridge and tuning it, so watched a few different YouTube videos and had no trouble. Downloaded a tuning app on my phone and that was it. Been having fun trying to re-learn how to play. I like the inlay for finger placement. Very helpful. Remember when we had little strips of tape to mark them! I highly recommend this violin.

Our son decided he'd like to play violin. We got this for him to learn with so we aren't out a lot of money if he decides it isn't his thing. My mom unpacked it, put strings and all on. Sounds good out of the box but can't keep tuned yet as the strings aren't stretched properly. My mom said it sounds great (she has played violin for many years).

Quality of this violin is excellent craftsmanship for a beginner. I’m 65 and my father who has passed was a wonderful musician who played multiple instruments. One was the violin. I remember falling asleep to his nightly playing. Music followed into my genes as well singing in opera and musicals. I bought this for my two grandsons hoping they might have an interest in learning an instrument. I have several things I play like my father it gives me alone time to enjoy. I am well versed in the quality of instruments and I found this violin to be well built with proper thickness and weight. Value was on par for a beginner violin. I also bought a guitar for them to learn both. I suggested they watch various YouTube videos on the different styles and sounds each can make. And the importance of learning the basics so they can develop into a style they prefer. Lesson for both will start in the spring as I hope this virus calms down. Definitely recommended for music is the international voice of the world.

I gave this violin five stars because it is exactly what I was expecting. I am an older person and have never played a violin before though I have played the clarinet. Because of asthma and wanting to still play music, I opted for the violin as it has a beautiful sound if played correctly. It came beautifully packaged and undamaged with all the appropriate pieces included in a prompt manner. It is difficult to hold the tuning on this violin but really. This is a beginner violin!! I had a slipping peg but with a little instruction from several youtubers I got it corrected to where this is not a problem currently. I will probably upgrade the bow and I am already upgrading the chinrest. This is one of the most difficult instruments to play period. I believe this is a great beginner instrument for those of us who want to try and have a limited budget. If I am still trying in a year or so, I will probably upgrade the violin itself but for the money, a great deal in my opinion.
Update: Approximately 5 weeks and two of the fine tuners are not functioning properly. I have purchased a new tailpiece with replaceable fine tuners. I had planned to make some additions/changes to some of the parts such as strings, bridge, chin rest, and the tuners but hadn't planned to do it so soon. Even with this development, I am still pleased with the violin itself. Just be aware that it can be enhanced. Still a good place to start your journey as a violinist.

It’s a great violin for beginners, comes with everything it says, the package wasn’t damaged. Everything is pretty good, too just need patience to set it up (plenty of tutorials on YouTube) .
