Got this as a birthday gift and it is beautiful. I've always wanted to learn and I am a beginner at 54! Sounds excellent.

So far I love it .. just learning to play so we will see

We have really loved learning to play on this guitar. I initially bought it for my son but the whole family has been using it. We've found some really good tutorials on YouTube that have made learning easier. I love the electric tuner that came with it. It really takes out the guesswork. The guitar seems to be made very well and has a nice rich tone to it. It's been perfect for our beginner learners.

Amazing guitar, great for beginners. I personally love the handle and feel of it. Has great craftsmanship and sounds even better

It sounds good and feels good for a reasonable price. I've had it for a year and a half now and it's held up extremely well.

For what it is, it's a result good guitar. My fiance wanted to learn to play, and this includes everything a beginner could possibly need. I am pretty family with guitars and strings instruments, so before gifting him this, I did look over it, and was actually pleasantly surprised by how decent it is. Definitely recommend for beginners!

After reading so many reviews I decided to go with this Donner Cutaway Acoustic Guitar package, in Sunburst, and I'm beyond completely satisfied with my choice. I was actually quite impressed with the value of everything included right out of the box along with the guitar. The package comes with a decent guitar bag with a thin layer of cushioning for moderate protection, a generous handful of picks, an extra set of strings, a capo, a digital tuner and a strap. Honestly well-thought out, everything needed to start out playing from scratch is here. I'm not a beginner, I own a couple other guitars and have given away a few over the years but I wanted something new, fresh and simple to pick up and start playing more again during quarantine times. This one hit all the marks, and it was just so great to have it all in one place without having to buy all the accessories separately. Most importantly, the build quality of the guitar, as well as the aesthetic far exceeded my expectations for what I paid for it. It can easily pass for a guitar worth 2, maybe 3 times its actual price. The sound is pleasant, rich and full, a joy to play, and it's become a favorite to reach for in my after-dinner strums. I'd never heard of this Donner brand before, to be honest, looks like a younger company, but I can tell they are committed to quality and wouldn't hesitate buying another guitar from them, with or without the accessories bundle. Highly recommended.

First guitar, and I’m beating the tar out of it! It’s great and I love it. After a few months it has stabilised and holds its tune for days. I practice on it every day, sometimes for over an hour. Found free lessons on internet which are great. A few times the electronic tuner needs to be reset because it loses a note, but that’s no big deal. It’s really a good guitar for me and is serving me well. Gives me something to work on during COVID-19 isolation.

Bought this for my 12-yr old niece as her first guitar this past Christmas, and can say that I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it. Went with this due to the fact that it wasn't too expensive for a beginner guitar, and as a brand received pretty good reviews. Wanted to make sure she had a decent guitar so she would be more encouraged to learn and play.
Package came in good condition, and everything shown in the photos was included. Guitar was packaged will inside, and was mostly tuned upon unboxing. I gave it a quick tune before placing it in the included bag so she could play it immediately; glad to say it stayed tuned until she opened it. Guitar bag is pretty good quality as well and not flimsy like other guitar bundles. No issues with the other accessories as well. Overall, great value for a beginner guitar, and my niece has been enjoying it since Christmas!

I was very impressed with this set. It has everything one needs to begin playing guitar, with some assistance from videos. I did extensive research on the best beginner guitar and this was on many lists. Not just for how much extras were included but also the sound quality of the guitar itself. He hasn’t played with it much since he got it, and he is a beginner, but we are both quite satisfied with the purchase and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I would like to first start off by saying that it’s been a little over a year since I purchased this guitar it still works perfectly and also it came with additional accessories. I love this guitar so much. It also comes with the string adjusters and also the tuner definitely would recommend anyone that wants to teach themselves how to play the guitar or is currently taking classes to purchase his guitar it’s great for beginners and also professionals

I’ve had this for about 3 weeks now and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with it.
First impressions: everything feels solid. The frets were sprouting a tiny bit, but after a couple days of letting the guitar settle in it felt much better.
Neck: tuners are better than I was expecting. They hold well and turn smooth. The neck is comfortable to play on. Like I said, frets were a little rough, but got better after settling in to the humidity here.
Sound: this is where I was most impressed. It’s got a decent low end and a clear high end. Overall great clarity and good volume.
Playability: out of the box the action felt good, and only needed minimal adjustment at the truss rod. Action was good both near the nut and higher up.
Aesthetics: I like the sunburst, but the satin finish was a little on the cheap side. I can deal with it though given how it sounds!

This is not your grand-daddy's guitar! I'm a big guy and this dreadnought is bigger than I am. As a newbie I was not prepared for that, but I am in love with the rich sound it brings. Please let me suggest that people do some research with guitars for beginners before writing bad reviews:
1. I learned that size does not matter: sit up straight and hold it properly, you'll get used to it.
2. Practice your finger stretches, you'll get used to it. It's not like typing on a keyboard or playing a piano - those first frets can feel cavernous.
3. Be prepared to check your tuning and adjust your strings regularly for the first few sessions - it's normal for the metal to adjust to the proper tensions. It ships with strings not at full tension; they should remain stable after they settle in.
4. If you come from piano or singing background, expect your brain to explode when you discover how many ways to play "one note" on a guitar. :)
The bundle with the DAG-1CS is great - the gig bag is sturdy with a flapped slot being a perfect size for a pocket folder of sheet music; a selection of picks in different thicknesses to learn which type fits your style; an easy to use tuner that has a wide viewing angle; hex wrench included to make adjustments to the truss rod in the neck. It was shipped securely with adequate padding. There are optional set up steps that help with string height (action) and other small customizing that will make it easier to work with but out-of-the-box it does the job. If this guitar absolutely is "too hard to play" then check out some videos about Guitar Set Up... it will save you some stress and stretching. This Donner guitar is a worthwhile investment that appears sturdy enough to last for some quality playing and learning time.

This guitar is amazing for beginners, it's kind of crazy how perfect it is.

I ordered this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. He puts it out like a trophy and his friends think it’s so cool. Great gift and it came with everything he needed.

As a beginner you do not want to get a several hundred (or thousand) dollar guitar. This one however is PERFECT.
Pros:
- The kit covers literally everything you will need except for a guitar stand (though the bag itself can be leaned against a wall)
- The sound is alright, but good enough for a beginner
- The color is fantastic
Cons:
- Sound is a bit flat relative to other guitars but alright for a beginner

Even though we intended this for one of the girls, we were truly just curious of the quality for this price. We absolutely LOVE the finish. Besides upgrading the strings, the only thing my husband has done to it is polish the frets, and gave it a minor truss rod adjustment. For the price, you couldn’t steer wrong. The accessory pack alone is a great value; I’d like to think it would catch the eye of any entry level guitarist

This is my 2nd time buying an acoustic guitar from this brand. First I baught a shorter scale small body I leave in the living room that I still play every night. This came in the same style gig bag that I like so much due to how much cushion and protection it provides. This one shipped fine with no damage or quality issues, it needed no set up as I did adjust the height on my last one to my preference.

Since I’m definitely a 71 year old beginner trying to learn to play the guitar, yes my fingers are sore now but that doesn’t mean I’m not wanting to learn to play any more, and I will keep on trying to get the hang of it and learn to play it, I have this person at church is going to start giving me some lessons as I go.

Can’t go wrong at this price point. So many freebies along with it. Sounds good, looks good, feels good. It’s an acoustic guitar, nothing too special. It works. I’ve been playing guitar 12 years and I got it just for kicks, and have laying around anywhere in my house for when an idea strikes.

Honestly im not gonnna sugar coat it but the toner is not really accurate and even if u pick one string loud for the toner it will still show you blank screen but it will do just get a tuner app in ur phone for double check if the tone is really right and the guitar it smells brand new even just opening it feels brand new also and it’s big the sound is really good just hard to press the string it will make ur fingers hurt 10x than any guitar which is understandable because it’s new.the only thing I don’t like is the bag is not padded and it’s easy to scratch that even my hands that gets wet when I’m nervous it leaves mark on the guitar and won’t go away but I like the guitar I’m glad I chose this

This acoustic guitar is rather nice for the price. It was packaged very well. The guitar carrying case is amazing as are the accessories. Everything one needs to get started! The guitar itself is rather lightweight yet has great sound. With the carrying case and the guitar being light, it will definitely make it easy to carry along and travel with. The guitar came already strung which is a good perk, not to mention extra strings, score! I am not sure you can find a better bargain out there that will provide great sound quality as well as this one does! I also love the black finish! Worth it!

We bought this for our 13yo daughter who wanted to teach herself guitar and have something to noodle on. I play bass and her mom plays guitar, but left-handed, so we wanted something inexpensive, yet complete, for our daughter to try out.
The basic quality of this guitar is impressive. After a couple of weeks, it's holding tune better and better; the action out of the box was very good, no buzzing; the matte black finish is SLEEK; the neck is super comfortable, not too thick and not super thin; and the accessories all work very well. The sound is good as well - not super rich, but clear.
This kit is a steal where it's priced now, and it's perfect for something to play around with or for a child to get their first taste of playing guitar.

The guitar is perfect! Bought it for my GF who loves it. It sounds great and the accessories made this purchase a sweet deal!

I bought a few of the Donner DAG-!C's for our school to use in guitar club. All were well packaged and ready to play out of the box!hey are beautifully constructed and frets filed to perfection. However, they are not my CE-614 Taylor, but at around a $100 they are a complete steal. I plan to purchase more for our club.

This is the second one we’ve purchased. They are great beginner guitars and come with what they need to start lessons.

This guitar is simply amazing, especially for the price. The guitar comes in safe packaging and is easy to start with. There is no gloss finish (just well-sanded and stained), but this enables the guitar to resonate more, so it's just a matter of taste. The strings may be hard on a beginner's fingers, but I recommend sticking with these strings to get used to the feeling of them and to build calluses. If it's too much, lighter tension strings are not expensive. However, the strings that come with this guitar are perfect for bringing out the deep, resonating tones that the dreadnought body creates. The frets don't buzz (unless you do) so the buyer/user can be sure that they, in fact, are making the right sounds. The string height (the action) will already be preset to an optimal height, but if you are not satisfied, you can adjust it with the truss rod by using the included truss key. For a beginner, everything in the set is right, and this guitar kit is sure to be a good companion on someone's journey to getting better.

I wasn't expecting much, because the price was so low. I was very pleasantly surprised. The quality of the workmanship is good, and the tone isn't bad. Fret placement is accurate. It did require a setup because the action was too high out of the box. But after the setup I am delighted. The gig bag that came with it is good quality, with a reasonable amount of padding. The included capo is OK. I have half a dozen guitars, but this one has become my favorite. What a deal!

I am just a beginner and this is my first guitar. But I really pleased of this product. I love the apprearance, like wood grain, color etc. And also I love the sound it produces. Daily practice becomes very enjoyable. I don't how will I feel about the other more expansive and more famous brand guitars, but I do love this one. I think that later I will try different sets of strings just to see if they could make this one even better.
