Excellent quality for a beginner! And you really can’t beat the price! My son plays several other instruments and he wanted to teach himself to play the violin, this one was the perfect choice to get him started. It arrived very fast too, just a few days after we ordered it! I am very happy with this purchase and will buy from Eastar again!

Good violin for a beginner. Still learning the basics.
Thank goodness for online videos giving basic instructions!

I'm impressed with the quality of the violin. The case that it came in is impressively sturdy. I also think that being able to get an instrument like this that is affordable, is amazing.

This was a great deal. I got this violin because I wanted a case for my electric violin. I was really surprised by the quality of this violin. It was really easy to tune and it plays very nice. In addition to the case, I got a really nice stand for an extra $1. Again, great deal. I am not an expert violin player; however, I compared this violin (which costs under $100) to my electric violin (which costs over $1,000). I discovered quickly that an acoustic violin is louder than an electric violin (because you can turn down the volume of an electric violin) so to compensate for the increased volume, I simply played it softly with the bow. I also have a carbon fiber bow (which I purchased separately) that provides much better control but if you know how to play violin, I am sure that you could get some great sounds out of this violin (and its bow) because it's a quality instrument.

Hello. I finally got the chance to open this violin yesterday. There is something rolling around on the inside of the violin. It is very loud. I can not tell you anything about of it sounds good or not because I do not know how to play it or anything else yet. Amd with somethung rolling around inside,I would not try it anyway. What is your course of action? Send me a return label and refund my money

Violin is beautiful has a wonderful sound I am very pleased. Only issue was that the tuner is not working

My six year old loves it

It's perfect for beginners! I like it has a set, everything put together. You don't need to buy things elsewhere.
I like the white dots design on the fingerboard. It helps the kids to find the right tune easily.
I like it!
I will recommend it to my friends!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who was just starting out. The quality is great and the sound as well. She loves playing her new instrument and I enjoy watching her succeed.
hame
Well, I bought this 1/4 for my small 8 year old. She loves it. I know nothing about violins. I did buy am adult version johannes. This 1/4 Easter sounds better. Very nice to play with.
Orlac
This is a good violin for the price for beginners. I wish the bow quality was a little bit better. It sheds a lot and a little hard to break in. Overall I am pleased with this purchase for my toddler.
nicole
Perfectly serviceable beginner violin. I purchased a half sized violin for my kid. While it isn’t the best sounding violin (which is expected for its size) it certainly isn’t the worst! I would definitely recommend this instrument for beginners who are still growing! My kid also really enjoyed the look of the violin and the accessories were great.
Donna Farrar
My granddaughter's Orchestra teacher say it was the prettiest one he said it didn't have no scratches and it was just so pretty he said the sound was great when asked where it came from when she told him that it came from Amazon and how much it cost he told her he believe I paid a lot more than $89 that he would have to check into that
Luke Booker
Really am pleased with this little violin. We got it for our son to get started on. I don’t know much violins, but his teacher said it had a good sound and everything he needed was included in the kit! Great starter price too
jenny
It’s great for beginners! I’m a music teacher teaching beginning lessons and I’m rusty so I got this one for myself to practice. Very sturdy case. Good strong bow. Easy to tune. Would definitely recommend for those wanting to begin inexpensively.

I bought this violin for my daughter and didnt expect much for $89 including case tuner shoulder of etc but this little violin looks and sounds great. No instructions provided to setup but it’s really quite easy and plenty of resources are available online.
ERC
We bought this for my 6 yr old to start violin lessons. So far so good! Her violin instructor had another student who also just bought the same one and said it had a good sound and was a great starter violin. The quality seems great as comes with everything you need to get started.
Jen
I tried for months to give it a chance but i cant anymore. I had to buy new strings, because the ones that came were bad. The pegs dont even fit in the wholes they make squeeky sounds just trying but dont budge. I had to RESTRING them at least over 15 times in the 4 or 5 times i tried to use it. Definitely will not recommend for beginner. Tuning and restringing are totally different things. Tuning is very common for any violin.... But the pegs giving up and the strings being let go is a no no. Personally for having motivation to practice this violin made me discouraged and wanting to stay away from the labor that comes with it... Just horrible.
JP Gressman
I bought this as a first violin for our seven year old daughter. Her instructor is a lifelong violin player and was very impressed with it. The cost was equivalent to renting a violin for less than four months so it was worth it to me to purchase this and not have to worry about returning it or damaging a rental. Some of the fibers of the bow did break the first week but it may have been three or four and it did not affect the sound quality. It has a lovely sound and seems totally appropriate for a child’s violin. It came with many accessories which the instructor said made it an extra good deal.
ZiplinePete
It's a perfectly fine violin for beginners. The price is right. The tuner isn't great, you may need to download a tuner to your cell phone to help get it in tune. My child has been using it for class and it has been just fine. Don't expect the "Red Violin", this is a very basic beginner one.

I'm in my thirties,
I always wanted to know to play the violin and I read some articles online, that it is never too late to start to learn how to play the violin,
And I was looking for a violin that on the one hand would not be too expensive but on the other hand would be playable, and I think I did find,
- I found this violin, although the sound does not equal the sound of professional violins, but certainly reasonable, and certainly suitable for beginners, the violin comes with all the necessary accessories - strings , Resin, (bad quality) case, and electronic tuner,
overall I am very satisfied.
NatalliD
I was pleasantly surprised by the tone of this violin. It sounds really nice, even with my 7-year-old playing it. Two small issues I have with it: the pegs don’t stay very well when tuning and the mark for the 3rd finger is not in the right place. It is very sharp. I put a little black nail polish over it and marked the correct placement with a fingerboard sticker. Other than that, I’m really happy with the value!
R Gaus
Bought this to learn on. I replaced the strings right away which improved sound quality. The bow will be next. Violin itself is well enough made and sound quality is fine. It's an inexpensive instrument so I didn't expect anything more.
Jessica
We purchased this violin for my daughter to begin lessons. The teacher acted as though it would not keep a tune and let my daughter borrow and extra violin that she claimed was better. However, her "better" one doesn't seem to hold a tune any better than this one. This one looks nice and quality isnt far from the borrowed one.
Matt Cates
Very beautiful and sounds lovely, though I’m not sure that if it’s because it’s new or not but the pegs have a little trouble staying in place I’ve never had to retune so many times, I’ll probably purchase some stuff to keep the pegs from moving but other than that the violin is really good, a little light I feel like if I bang it on something I could damage it but this is great even for someone who has played for 10 years or even a beginner
pickyme
Nice looking. I like that everything is included. Sound quality is disappointing although I know it is harder to get a good sound from such a small instrument. Just the right size for our petite 8 year old with a little room to grow. I played violin and viola for many years and look forward to teaching my granddaughter.
HYUNGEE JO
I think it is good for beginners. My son, who is new to the violin, can make sounds. It has a great shape and a pleasnt sound to hear. I also like it with extra strings. I like it even more because I think I bought such a great violin at a relatively low price. I am going to prepare my son's next violin with this, too.
Lola
Kiddo wanted a violin, but I didn’t want to invest a ton of money before knowing if she’s going to stick with it. Plus, she’s growing, so an inexpensive small violin seemed good for now. I played a bit when I was little, so really haven’t touched a violin in decades. With the help of a YouTube video, got it set up quickly and she was playing within 30 minutes. Perfect for what we needed. Will probably be upgrading the bow soon.
Qin Huang
I brought this for myself to pick up the skills I once had. It is really the perfect buy. It comes with one bow which I only wish there is a spare but it is enough. Two bridges, extra strings, an electric toner that I also tone my guitar with, should rest and a light weight hard case will come as part of the whole package. The violin itself has four fine toners that allows you to find adjust the sound. Very nice and worth every penny spent. Highly recommend.
Jess
From the moment our daughter opened this she was thrilled. It is beautiful for a inexpensive violin. Also it came fairly well tuned and sounded pretty great the first time she tried it. She did break a string very quickly but that's because she tightened it too fast. Thankfully the violin came with extra strings and her orchestra teacher was able to replace it and tune it for us. The chin rest could be better but with a little adjusting it works fine. The case is great and is good quality. So much better than $20 a month to rent a violin! Thank you!
Laura
Great violin for those wanting to learn but not ready for the investment of an expensive instrument.
It’s VERY lightweight, more so than I expected (I picked up the case once and thought it was empty, but it wasn’t!).
But honestly, it’s perfect for my 8yr old - she really wanted to learn to play, but I was reluctant to spend a fortune only for her to decide after a month she was no longer interested.
Fortunately, she’s still enjoying her lessons!
DOU
Obviously not the best sound quality, but I only paid about $70 for it and I enjoyed playing enough now that I've upgraded to a Cremona. Really wonderful if you're not 100% sure if you'll enjoy playing. The markings on the fingerboard were so incredibly helpful pair this violin along with the Essential Elements Violin book and you'll be on your way! I'd get some better rosin though besides that this little package is amazing for the price. Happy playing!
NASAM
We bought two of these for our fifth grade twins who's school offers violin. The school pushes us to a $35 monthly rental place and I wanted to save some money. I had difficulty tuning this violin when it first arrived. I freaked out a bit thinking they aren't any good. I watched a couple of yt videos - the kennedy violins on "fix slipping pegs" was also great for showing how to load the strings (I had accidently removed one completely.) With the "peg drop" oil, I was then able to get each of the violins tuned in about 10 minutes per. We're now happy campers- and 3-4 months from now will be saving money compared to renting!
Justine
I wasn't too sure what to expect due to the price, but didn't want to pay a lot pf money because I am a beginner. I was impressed as soon as I opened it up. Light assembly was easy. I had a music store friend check it over and tune it for me and even he was impressed considering the price. Highly recommend.
Jessica Fikes
Comes with all accessories and everything you need for under $100. For the size I really had a hard time choosing because it was for my 13yo boy, but I wanted him to be able to grow into it. The 4/4 fit him perfectly and he is also left-handed, and after research, I found that they don't need a special left-handed violin. I love the case and it will keep it very protected. For those who are new to violins the key here is to make sure you don't overtighten the strings and use plenty of the rosin. When I say plenty I mean use alot or you won't get the sound out and it will just screech. We got this for for band and when trying to tune it I broke a string immediately not realizing I just needed more rosin. Once you get it all tuned and properly rosin the sound is great and I don't feel like we will have to buy another one until he is out of school.

Like many of us stuck at home, I am trying things I have always been interested in but never pursued. My son and I started out the pandemic by picking up the Didgeridoo, and now I've decided to try out the violin. Not knowing much, I bought this violin as it seemed like it was solid enough for the price and it came with a tuner. It was fairly easy to set up (went to Youtube and watched a video to help me out). Tuning is imperative, though! Plopped the battery in the tuner, flipped it on, set it to "Violin" and nothing! Tried for about an hour to get it to actually work (I play guitar so I know how to use a tuner) and couldn't get it to work. Also, the shoulder rest broke within 5 minutes. So, that being said, if you do buy this violin I would purchase a separate tuner so you don't get frustrated your first time setting it up. (I ended up downloading a violin tuner app on my phone which worked well enough, but have since ordered another tuner that will be here in a couple of days. There is no sound worse in the world than an out of tune violin!) Within 2 hours of unpacking I was watching a beginner Youtube video and could play a scale! I feel like the violin is going to have a hard time staying in tune (I kept having to retune it periodically) but so far if you don't want to plunk a chunk of change down for something you may not continue with I am happy with my purchase so far.
TW
We started out with a 1/2 sized violin and are trying out the 3/4 sized violin. Eventually, we will need a full sized 4/4 violin. So our options were to rent an instrument or to buy an affordable one knowing that it will be replaced. Compared to renting, we will have received full value for this purchase. The tuning pegs are good enough to get within fine tuning range and each string comes with fine adjustment tuners. This 3/4 violin holds the tuning for the duration of practice sessions and has good volume. The strings did stretch for a few days and settling in. The violin comes with all the basic items needed to get started: a case for transportation and storage, a bow and rosin, the bridge, shoulder rest, tuner, and an extra set of strings. As your student's skills improve, you may want to upgrade your strings and bow. There is a recommendation that I would make. The finger position dots are off and I would suggest that you use tape to mark the finger positions. In the photo that I posted, the RED lines are the measurements given typically for 3/4 violins (32 mm, 61 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm). The GREEN lines are where I will place the tapes for reference based on using the included tuner. You can see where the dots are in relation to theoretical locations (RED) and the actual position (GREEN) required for proper pitch. Of course, your student will be exercising their ear training and will be able to adjust accordingly over time. Overall, I think this violin kit is a good value and meets the need for progressively larger instruments as your student grows.

I am very pleased with this student violin. It came with extra strings and an extra bridge. For a low cost violin it resonates well. It is perfect for beginners. I am happy to have a violin for my kids to play without me being overly stressed about them accidentally damaging an expensive instrument. I am not a violinist myself but have played cello for 20 years
Stephanie D Lee
You will need to assemble the violin (strings, bridge, tuning). With the help of youtube, it won't be that difficult. But everything is provided as stated. I stopped playing violin after high school, and just started picking it up again 10 yrs later. Its a great practice violin, and for the price you can't beat it!

Great quality and value for a set like this. It'll fit the hands of a 7-9 year old quite well. I'm used to a full size violin but the sound from this one is great. Everything's solid and easy to setup. Especially since kids are growing, this is a great option for them since it'll be outgrown in a couple of years. The included accessories like the tuner, shoulder rest, strings and an extra bridge (which trust me, kids will break!) are great especially considering the price. Overall I couldn't recommend this enough to parents looking for a violin for their young kids. It's also very nice how the fretboard is marked for them, although with time a good ear is all you'll need.

Bought this cause my daughter is learning. Looks even better than what her school was loaning students. Looks well made and well designed. Very functional and delivers the sound. Hope it is durable.
Katie
We bought this for our daughter who is beginning to learn violin. The price is reasonable with the quality of the violin. Everything she needs to start is in the hard case: violin and bow, shoulder rest, rosin, tuner (love this tuner), extra bridge and extra strings set.
You may need to tune and retune several times for the tune to set. However, with stringed instruments you need to tune almost every single time before playing.
*Tip for beginners:
-Make sure to push the tuning peg in when you tune. Use the fine-tune mechanism if needed.
-Apply rosin to your bow or else you won't make any sound. You may want to scratch the resin first before applying.

Edit: upgrading stars. The company sent me a replacement, and I'll update my review again if it lasts! I'll also see if it responds as well as the first and if it holds tuning by 2 weeks as well.
So, when I got it, it came precisely as reviews had mentioned. I followed every bit of advice and a few tutorials, and after two weeks, it was holding its tuning well! Yes, it was cheap, but it was serviceable, especially since I was an absolute beginner (I've been playing guitar for 23 years and own multiple, though, so I'm not unfamiliar with stringed instrument care and how it varies by instrument).
For two months, I found myself improving at a promising rate and very happy with my purchase. I kept it in the case it came with, safe and sound.

Good box, package came ok.
it supposed fit me but the size seem not. Sounds came out ok. It doesn’t fit so I decided to gift it to a friend.
As the results:
HE LOVES IT! He said the quality and materials is nice. He used it for his photoshoot and pic came out well! For the price and beginners this is a very good design and craftsmanship!

This is my first ever violin I have purchased and so far it has been a great experience. Setting up the violin was very easy watching some YouTube videos. The wood panel and tuning knob of the violin looks like a very high-quality material. You can tell that overall it is hand-made! It also comes with all the necessary accessories. Overall, great purchase!

I love this violin! I played for a short time as a child, so it was nostalgic to play again. It has a lot of extras, including a tuner and resin. The sound quality is wonderful and it's perfect for beginners. It's absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is amazing. If you want to buy a quality violin, this is perfect for you.

In my opinion this violin was worth its price. I love how it came with all the accessories instead of buying it separately. The sound quality that came out was was surprisingly not bad at all I was amazed by it. It has a small rich tone to it. The bow was light as well easily to play without much force! The craftsmanship was on point there was no flaws when I open the box. This is perfect for a beginner.

Violin was one of my quarantine hobbies and i really just wanted a decent one for a cheap price. This delivers well, the first bridge broke when i was trying to tune which was normal. Im glad they put in an extra one which was really helpful. I was able to learn basics in 2 weeks so I’m quite a happy camper. For the price i paid I couldn’t ask for more

Beautiful set. Comes with everything you need. Carrying case, extra strings, tuner etc. Beautiful quality sturdy set. Great starter kit for any beginner. The wood is flawless. It is very sturdy but lightweight. The case provides excellent protection. Straps violin in so it does not move. Cloth goes over violin for extra protection.

I bought the violin for my 11 year old child and I'm really happy.
I did not know that you can buy a reasonable violin for a child to learn at such a good price.
Also it is very useful that it arrives with a case and replacement strings (one has already snapped) and rosin which is of mediocre quality. It is worth adding that the sound of the violin is not very professional but it is excellent for beginners.
don l.
only thing i would like is instructions for us beginners not knowing where bridge goes etc. otherwise all good
Somboun S.
So thank you looked good everything okay then my son like it

For the overall price its hard to beat this. When I got it there just wasn't much of a decent sound coming out. So I upgraded the Tailpiece (making sure the tuners were tight) and strings which helped a ton. Was much louder, warm and held notes better. I feel like a bit better bow would help as well. Defiantly would recommend to anyone who isn't sure if they will like it or not. And you can always upgrade components as you go.

For any beginners this is perfect! The quality is amazing and it comes with a lot of extra tools to help you! I loved that it came with a tuner which made my life easier. It’s so worth the money!!! Highly recommend it for someone taking interest in violin or even someone who plays already! I’m so excited to keep on learning! Love it

Soooo I got this about 2 weeks go and have been waiting to give to my nephew for his bday. He's a beginner so didn't want to spend much incase he looses interest. During COVID, he's trying to keep himself busy by learning new things...
The violin was sturdy enough for an 8 yr old. His mother loved the fact it came with a carrying bag and all the essentials like the pointer or marker whatever you may call it.. size was perfect for him. Happy nephew = happy buyer lol...
Pamela
Shocked about the quality and I mean that in a good way!
Good size for beginners to hold and I am finding it rather fun to learn on.
Handy dandy little tuner is great oh and the littke tag with the cords on is a nice little touch the case is so nice the bf is trying to steal it fir his very expensive violin lol

I've always wanted to get a violin but back in my day classical instruments were crazy expensive. This was a great price for an instrument I've always wanted to play. It came with everything a person would need to get started and the case it came in was crazy nice very firm and two pockets one on the outside and one on the inside to store the included rosin, tuner, extra set of strings, shoulder support, and extra bridge. After watching a few YouTube videos on how to set it up and what notes to tune the strings and apply rosin to the bow. I was happily squeaking and getting some notes. It's sweet how there are dots layer out on the fretboard. I was playing a few super easy songs within half hour. I got a super long way to go on doing concerts but by the end of my playing the tones I was getting were great. I'm super happy with the violin and have to practice up to show off my new favorite instrument. If you want something to jam on I feel the value and quality are fantastic, would super recommend.

I got this violin as a gift for my daughter who already played other string instruments and wanted to learn how to play the violin. The violin came with everything she needed to get started and also included a case for easy transportation. Being a beginner, she went on YouTube to learn how to set up the bridge, it took her a maximum of 15 minutes to set everything up and get going. The sound was decent and the design is also beautiful.

This violin is light weight and beautifully made, I'm actually impressed with the finishing quality especially considering the cost I paid for it. This is a complete set with all necessary accessories and a hard carrying case to begin with violin learning for kids. I bought it for my son to see how he will develop the interest of playing violin at home and I'm glad I made this decision. The product is well worth the money in my opinion and the sound is good too, with the quality and fun time spent with my son playing this violin I become much happier during tough times through the pandemic lockdown.

My six years old daughter showed interest in learning violin so I joined her in music class and got this violin for her as per her teacher's suggestion. It is of perfect size for her to practise violin in her class and home. It seems well designed for learners with finger positions markers. It is of lightweight and looks beautiful.
The violin looks beautiful with an excellent smooth finish. It came with many extra accessories like a hard case, a digital tuner, bow and wax and extra set of strings so we do not have to buy any extra. The hard case looks sturdy enough to protect the violin and makes it easy to carry around. After watching couple of youtube videos, we easily tuned it up with the help of provided digital tuner. But it would be better if it would come with some instruction in the package too. It has a decent sound. My daughter loves to keep playing it in her free time and has fun.
In a nutshell, it is a nice and a good quality violin to anyone who wants to learn or play the violin without spending much money. It is well designed and comes with everything you need. So I definitely recommend this.

I’m at my 20s and recently I thought about picking up a new hobby and my interests on violin brought me here! It was great! Aesthetically pleasing, really love how the violin looks! And it doesn’t sound crappy, sounds elegant just how I picture my first violin would be, worth the price! It got you everything you needed for starter, great one! Really recommend

This violin comes complete with bow and case
Looks good and is the size my granddaughter needs
She has taken it into school and they have tuned it so she is all set now for learning how to play
They said it’s really well made and good value with the case so well laid out for protection to the violin and the bow and a few accessories
Very pleased and good value

Wow!! It’s a good decision to buy this stunning Violin, much satisfied with the price and quality.
It seems to be durable and also came with a gorgeous black color bag to take it anywhere safely. I’m a beginner; my music teacher suggested me this violin.

Once you get it all tuned and properly rosin the sound is great and I don't feel like we will have to buy another one until he is out of school.

Got this violin as an early Christmas/birthday gift for a family member. Only opened it to see the quality & make sure everything was there. I'm extremely in impressed with packaging & quality. Can't wait to give this amazing gift away.

Good violin for beginners and it’s has the marks where you can put your fingers which is very useful for me. It’s also came with a nice package with extra strings. Over all I’m satisfied with it

I bought it as a gift to my friend and she loves it!!! I'm so glad I bought it. Because I don't know anything about violin, I did a lot of homework to find a perfect one for my friend. It took my several days until I decided to buy one from this store. Absolutely a great choice! I could feel the high quality of this violin even from the package and the bag. It is definitely worth the price!

AWESOME VIOLIN!!! I've bought much more expensive violins from Amazon and had to return them but not this baby! The sound is perfect midrange and the finish doesn't look like it's made of plastic! Great for beginners and very affordable! The rosin is excellent!

My arm is killing me but wow! I was so anxious to get this violin this morning! And it was NOT a disappointment! I haven’t been able to put it down!
It’s been roughly fifteen years since I’ve played and I just had an itch to pick it up again. I didn’t want to spend a fortune in case I didn’t find the time to play regularly.
I initially thought I would go with this violin when searching the first time on the Internet. However, I chose to look around and read many many reviews on all the cheaper priced violins. After waiting and reviewing for several weeks, I came to the conclusion that for the price, this one seemed to have the best reviews and be of higher quality than others in the same price range.
And my first instinct was right! :) This beautiful violin and setup is a wonderful deal!
The violin came well packaged. The finish on the violin is beautiful, just as pictured! The bridge was NOT on it when I opened it. Strings were loose but having read all the reviews I was expecting this. I knew where to place the bridge and then I did as people suggested and started by slowly tightening the middle two strings, then the outer two, to avoid the bridge shifting.
I pushed the pegs in as I tightened and I did not have any major slippage with them, they all held fine. I played around with tuning it, knowing since the strings are new it probably will take a bit to get it right, but when I came back to it after lunch, I gave it another go at tuning, and got all the strings sounding correct. Let me say the tuner was a plus as I have one for my guitar, but the one included has a setting just for violin. I’m also happy about the shoulder rest. I used to have a really nice one and will probably order a better one eventually but just for getting started the one included is an awesome bonus!
The rosin I roughed up, and after about twenty to thirty passes had the bow nicely rosined and ready to go. I do plan to order a nicer bow but for the money this one is great, in perfect condition and plays nicely, though I’m years out of practice so someone more experienced might know more about the balance of it.
I plan to get better quality strings to put on the violin in the near future but for now I’m happy with the ones included and think the violin sounds great!!!! (There are extra strings and an extra bridge in the nice and well padded violin case)
I have only one tiny minor complaint and that is that it can be hard to keep the bow from hitting the G string when attempting to play the D string. I did notice some comments about that in the reviews but the longer I played today the better I got at keeping that to a minimum so I’m not sure if it’s the violin or just my rusty playing skills.
The inlayed spots on the neck of the violin made finding the correct finger positions SO easy, though I noticed after about twenty minutes of playing that my ear could tell when my fingers weren’t in the proper position. But for a complete beginner, this is extremely helpful and again cuts out the need for extra purchases.
This violin gets a ten out of ten from me!
IF YOU ARE NEW to playing violin, please remember it takes time to break an instrument in. The strings have to stretch some and so you may struggle with the tuning process or have to retune often. If you have patience and are willing to learn about your instrument then you should buy this one with confidence!
From all appearances, it’s a well made, handsome instrument and I am so excited that it arrived as quickly as it did!
Gotta go... it’s calling me! ;) Happy fiddlin’!!

You will need to assemble the violin (strings, bridge, tuning). With the help of youtube, it won't be that difficult. But everything is provided as stated. I stopped playing violin after high school, and just started picking it up again 10 yrs later. Its a great practice violin, and for the price you can't beat it!

I bought the violin for my 11 year old child and I'm really happy.
I did not know that you can buy a reasonable violin for a child to learn at such a good price.
Also it is very useful that it arrives with a case and replacement strings and rosin which is of mediocre quality. It is worth adding that the sound of the violin is not very professional but it is excellent for beginners.

I'm completely new to the violin but always wanted to learn so I decided to buy this violin set. This is definitely a starter violin. The quality is good for the price. I can't say it's too good but is not too bad either for this price. I need to look for videos or a person who can help us tune the violin otherwise it won't sound good. It comes with a felt-lined case, bow, and rosin. I’m thinking of taking lessons just so I can play it

This is my first time holding a violin, but I'm glad I picked this one up. It includes everything I might need, things I didn't even know I needed like a tuner. I thought you have to buy those separately! Right out of the box, I was surprised with the high quality case it came in. It didn't smell like the cheaply made stuff either. Everything was snugly packed inside the case, so its portable/easily tucked away when not in use. The sound quality is great, at least for what I can produce. I'll have to work on that a bit. But great product, will definitely buy other instruments offered from this brand again.

The sound is good, it projects great and It held tune after a 20 minute session, the body is elegant and smooth, I still sound like a beginner and so long as I do it's not going to be pretty but that's no fault of the instrument, after looking up notes and chords and playing them alone I can tell that they were accurate and would sound amazing together.

Works really well. Wouldn’t buy for a beginner if you don’t know how to set up a violin but is an amazing investment if you’re looking at long term playing. Sounds amazing and looks to be high quality and would definitely recommend to a friend

For the price - this is just fine. Granted you're not going to play in an orchestra with it but it was more than enough to help me to decide that I did want to learn to play the violin. The case is quite good - the case alone is worth the price. This is a great violin to buy if you kind of want to learn to play but are not certain it is for you. It seems very durable and sounds pretty good. I will likely play it until it is time to pass it on to another curious player.

Packaging arrived in fair condition, but shoulder support was broken inside the box. I am trying to fix it. For a beginner, there should be some assembly instructions.

I am enjoying my violin very much!
It's great for my intention. I am teaching myself
It is easy to assemble. It is easy to use!
I am a small woman. I purchased a half size and think I could have handled a 3/4 just fine.
It's a great purchase to just "fiddle" around with!

This Eastar brand violin looks great and will sound just as good as an expensive one when played by a beginner. If our child still plays after outgrowing this one, we can spend the extra money on the full size violin at that time.
This Eastar violin not only looks gorgeous, but it also comes with everything your child needs for orchestra classes, including the shoulder rest. Other than that, you may or may not need to get a music stand and that is it. Ask your child's teacher about the stand. Great purchase in my book. Well worth more than the low price. Your search is over and you can buy this Eastar violin right now.

I’m very much a beginner to every thing to do with music. It was definitely fun to set up this violin. I found all the information I needed watching YouTube video. This violin is gorgeous. I know it’s supposed to be beginners and kids but I got the larger size. The case is beautiful and had everything you need to carry along with you. I started by adding in the bridge the correct way. I attempted to tune the violin and ended up breaking a string. Luckily the kit comes with a few extra strings. I could not get the digital tuner to work. It powers on and I set it to violin attached it to the violin but the scale wouldn’t move. Not sure what I did wrong. I tightened the bow and added the rosin which was also included. And at last I was playing notes. I recommend this violin. It’s great quality, a beautiful piece with a nice case and everything you need to get started.
